When the Arizona Cardinals went 8-0 in the first two months of the 2021 NFL season, everyone started to wonder if they could win the Super Bowl in February. The Cards’ superb run did come to an end, but this team is still among those in the conversation for the NFL Championship.
Still, the Cardinals are no longer among the top couple of betting favorites. At the same time, they’re not far behind. At FanDuel Arizona, there are currently only four teams with shorter odds than the Cards, namely:

- Los Angeles Rams (+800)

Meanwhile, the Arizona Cardinals odds to win Super Bowl 2021 are +1000. The same price is given for two other teams – Kansas City Chiefs and Dallas Cowboys.
Is +1000 a Good Value for Arizona to Win Super Bowl LVI?
Betting on the cardinals to win the Super Bowl in February 2022 means that you could make a profit that’s ten-times your stake. Of course, for that to happen, the Cards need to actually get ahold of the Lombardi Trophy, which is something they’ve never done.
They did, however, win the NFL Championship on two occasions. Still, that happened a very long time ago, in 1925 and 1947. Back then, the Cards weren’t even based in Arizona but in Illinois. That’s when they were called the Chicago Cardinals.
In recent years, their biggest success happened in 2008 when they won the NFC. That said, knowing that they’ve been without any major trophies for years means that they’re probably super motivated to do well this season.
They don’t lack any motivation, but what about the player quality? Do the Cardinals have what it takes to win the Super Bowl?
Is Arizona’s Roster Good Enough to Win Titles?
One of the reasons why the Cardinals are no longer among the top Super Bowl favorites is that they lost two games in the space of three weeks in October/November. And the reason why that happened is that their best player was struggling with an ankle injury in that period.
The man in question is Kyler Murray, the #1 favorite for the MVP award. Arizona’s third-year QB has been nothing short of sensational in 2021, with precise passes and intelligent plays, a number of which resulted in a touchdown.
Murray’s job this season was made easier by the fact that there are some fantastic players on the receiving end in Arizona’s offensive team. There are four receivers that have been superb in 2021, namely DeAndre Hopkins, A.J. Green, Christian Kirk, and Rondale Moore.
Apart from being superb in the passing game, the Cardinals have also been great rushing-wise. This goes especially for the running back James Conner, who’s one of the rushing leaders in the conference.
On top of everything, Arizona has also been great in the defense. No surprise there, as they got Chandler Jones (Jon Jones’ little brother) as one of their linebackers. Plus, starting the 2021 season, the three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year, J.J. Watt is their defensive end.
Apart from having a fantastic roster, the Cards also have a fantastic coach in Kliff Kingsbury. He might not have too many trophies in his cabinet, but the guy surely has the skills to take the Cards to glory.
